DIAM project (Digital Imaging Adoption Model)

The Digital Imaging Adoption Model (DIAM) was launched at ECR 2016 in Vienna and has been jointly developed by the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) Analytics Europe and the European Society of Radiology to support organisations in planning and implementing imaging IT.

The model is particularly innovative as it is the first of its kind worldwide to comprise ten focus areas essential to the digitisation in imaging IT, including patient engagement, personalised medicine and clinical clinical documentation.

DIAM is a vendor-neutral tool and participation is free of charge. The DIAM experts group has started approaching the national radiology societies of identified focus countries, in order to seek their support and involvement in the model promotion.
